PhotoBioModulation Professor Dana York,
our local scientist, presented her laser therapy research into the regeneration of bone, at the International Laser Conferénce convened in Florence, Italy.
Professor York received her PhD for laser studies as applied to the field of periodontology and a Masters Degree in Biophisics and Cellular Technology.
In 2005 she was awarded as a person of extraordinary ability for her research in Photo Bio Modulation In Regeneration of Bone and Soft Tissue in Periodontal disease. New York University subsequently retained Dr York as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the School of Dentistry. Professor York's research is based at the Center for photoBioModulation in Cannes. Then she became Professor Honoris Causa from Kerala University
Researchers from forty countries gathered to present their scientific papers. Our local resident Professor York excelled in elegance and her lecture was very well reserved. She presided over two sections of the congress, the section of the Italian Aesthetic Medical Society and the PhotoBioModulation section. In 2002, the Laser Florence Conference, as a whole, recognIzed Dr York's research in the field of bone regeneration with the Best Paper Award.
As a pioneer in the field Dr York transformed theoretical research into evidence based treatments. PhotoBioModulation and other losers are use in her daily clinical practice here on the French Riviera.
Participating for the 24th year at this prestigious scientific event, we found Professor York at home surounded by the longtime friends and colleagues she so admires Prof Chang from Taiwan Professor Sharon Rau from India, Prof Baxter and Wife from New Zélande
Penny Smily and Juanita Anderson,USA, Prof Narong from Thailand, Prof Rodkin from Israel, Prof. Pineiro from Brasil, professeur Khatry from Boston USA, Professor Pascu from Romania, from the Biophisics institute Magurele under the presidency of Professor Longo and Patricia Longo.
Laser Florence's President, Professor Leonardo Longo, is managing the prestigious event which will also commemorate LaserFlorence’s 30 years of service.
Dana is considered the product of the LLLT school by Agafitza Lefter and Sonia Herman and Laser Florence

In Florence as well was held the reunion of the Lions Club.
The Lions Club/Stibbert of Florence has had a long and fruitful friendship with the Lions Club/Cannes Film Festival. Both will unite for the greater good at the beginning of the year in Monaco for a Charity Gala and Fundraising.
International Academy for Laser in Medicine and EMLA will be happy in the new year to welcome those genes of medicine for a future meeting in Monaco.
