June 14th 2019 in Nice : A successfull charity event at the Palais de la Méditerranée to support the Russian Cathedral of Nice !
On June 14th 2019, ACRN (« Les Amis de la Cathédrale Russe de Nice ») organise dits fourth grand Russian gala and charity dinner at the «Hyatt Regency Palais de la Méditerranée » on Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

The event, hosted by Pierre de Fermor, President of ACRN, gathered this year 230 participants coming from France and Monaco, Russia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Germany, Canada, the U.S.A. and Japan.

The dinner was placed under the High Patronage of Her Highness Princess Fiodora Romanov, Princess of Russia and Honorary President of ACRN, His Eminence Metropolit Anton Bishop of Korsun and Occidental Europe. His Serene Highness Prince George Yourievsky, great grand-son of Emperor Alexander II and His Excellency Mr Alexey Meshkov, Ambassador of Russia in France and Monaco attended the event. The city of Nice was represented by Mr Pradal, 1st deputy-mayor.

The evening was animated with Russian romances and lyrics sang by talented artist Xenia Devi, who fleaw specially from Moscow, a laureate of many events in Russia. A quartet of enthusiastic musicians Maria Zvereva, Evgueniy Pushkarevitch, Kornel Teisanu and Adrien Arsénie.

Alain Gorlat sang too with Xenia Devi, as well as perfectly managed the musical synchronisation of the whole evening.

A widely applaused fashion show took place, presenting the « FAB collection » à la mode de Fabergé, designed by Elizaveta Piskunova.

A presentation of Alex Ball jewels was also made. Based in Lilan, Alex Ball collections are a continuous search for style, with unique and unmistakable designs.

A most impressive auction animated by Mr Louis-Philippe Caddias, with « Le Pesage », an oil painting by Raoul Dufy being the top feature, allowed to collect a gracious amount received for the sole benefit of the Cathedral.


Other lots included two paintings from Russian painter Philippe Moskvitine, one silk scarf from Anna Danilova, president of the Foundation « Rsskaya Zemla », showing the Russian cathedral of Nice, one icon offered by Gallery Hermitage Fine Arts in Monaco and two original drawings from Jean Cocteau, introduced by Gallery Saleya in Nice.

The evening ended with the drawing of a tombola that consisted of 21 luxury lots, with two jackpots : A romantic week-end for two, all included, in Forte Village resord in South Sardinia, and a luxury trip for two for a one week cruise on the Oriental Mediterraneean sea.
